Arcriff Temple

Arcriff is a temple that appears in Grandia III, it's a temple but it also serves like a town which sells goods, weapons, skills, and magic. It was the home of Alfina and her brother Emelious.

History

Arcriff temple is historically the worship place of the guardian Gryph and is home to the communicators that work to summon the guardian. The location of the temple is a holy site established by Gryph after the great calamity that occurred 3000 years ago. After the guardians saved the people, Gryph left a great orb with directions on how to find this land. The people followed the directions and built the temple upon the holy site. Since then, the orb has resided within the grounds of the temple.

Story

Yuki aids Alfina in returning to the temple, where she intends to perform the Communicator ritual and ask Gryph about the recent appearances of verspheres. Gryph is successfully summoned but she warns Alfina about the terrible powers Emelious is attempting to wield but to never stop loving her brother. As the guardian is speaking, Emelious appears and kills her before summoning a versphere, which destroys the temple. Yuki and Alfina escape back to their damaged plane and just about manage to fly away.
