Pakon is a playable character in Grandia: Parallel Trippers, Pakon returns as an antagonist and later protagonist to assist Yuuhi in his quest to find his way back to his home. Pakon can only be recruited after the events of the main story by finding him and Chang in the Mechanical Empire, Tree Sea and Ghost Land.

Pakon is an extremely defensive character that struggles offensively. Pakon will primarily be used as a support character due to his lack of strength. Pakon's high defense and magic defense paired with his high HP allow him to absorb a lot of damage despite his weak demeanor. Pakon has the lowest AP of any character in the game and therefore he cannot deliver many attacks without recovering.

In Grandia: Parallel Trippers, Pakon can wield projectile and whip based skills. Although he cannot possess magic of any kind, he has the power to utilize monster skills. Despite joining the party after the events of the game, and with the exception of his projectile skills, Pakon starts with very poor skill levels, far worse than most characters obtained before him.
